My student’s desks are arranged into 4 groups. Each group has a small book shelf at the end of it to hold supplies for that group of children. Each is color coded. The blue pod will have a blue bin for collect trash and scraps, a blue basket to collect papers in, a blue bucket for new notebook paper, and a blue tub for markers. My students are able to get everything they need by taking a few steps!

I also organize my book clubs by color. Each group is a different color and the materials for their club are stored in a drawer of the same color. I store materials that will be used each daily in the color coded drawers as well. An organized classroom is a happy one!
