I try to create a calming atmospher. We have a light house / beach theme at our school. I try to incorporate our theme, my love for Lilly Pulitzer,s bright colors and allow students to feel like they are at a home away from home. Students may sit where they want and work around the room with partners. We collaborate and share ideas.
