I’ve used the same strategy bags for five years. This bag is my MOST favorite classroom curriculum tool. I encourage my students to find various ways to solve their math problems. Having a set of tools on hand provides the with the essentials to try new strategies. There are four members to each of my team groupings. I specifically selected 6 astrobright colors to ensure each team member has a different color with the remaining two colors assigned to members of the team closest in proximity. This management tip allows for you to quickly identify the owner of the manipulatives that fall to the floor. All contents in the bag will remain the same color: green, yellow, red, blue, purple and orange.
