I’ve found a way to wrestle three messy aspects of teaching! In our room, three baskets serve to “catch all” that messiness until it can be dealt with later. Students know to put all notes and homework into Tina. They know that Fred is our “fix it” guy for all sorts of needs from non-working flashlights to books that need mending. The colors of the baskets help students and classroom visitors remember the functions of each bin.
